Butters 


Unrefined Shea Butter: It has been used for centuries in Africa as a healing salve, nourishment for the hair, a protectant and an emollient for the skin. It is also used to help prevent wrinkles and even out tone skin. It is rich in cinnamon acid, so it helps to protect skin against the elements and UV damage, soothes skin irritations, and provides nourishment. Shea butter encourages cell regeneration and capillary circulation, which helps prevent and minimize stretch marks and scarring. Rich in vitamins A, E & F. Not recommended for those with latex allergies.

Mango Butter: It reduces the degeneration of skin cells and increases elasticity. Mango butter fights dermatitis, eczema, and relieves itching skin. It keeps skin soft after shaving, helps prevent wrinkles, and soothes sun burn.

Cocoa Butter: A soothing emollient that is used to heal, moisturize, and protect from the elements. Provides vitamins A & C and zinc oxide, to help shield harmful UV rays. Also, packed with antioxidants to help prevent free radical damage. Softens, nourishes, and conditions.


Carrier Oils

Jojoba Oil: Structurally and chemically similar to human sebum,  jojoba oil can act a substitute for sebum. Contains vitamins E and B, is antimicrobial, antibacterial and also an antioxidant, so it will aid in fighting off damaging free radicals. Jojoba oil is anti-inflammatory, so it helps calm the effects of dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, etc. Conditions hair/skin, and improves texture and appearance over time with consistent use. 

Sweet Almond Oil: Contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, E, and is rich in essential fatty acids. Very emollient, conditions skin and hair, soothes eczema, psoriasis, dry, itchy, and inflamed skin.

Castor Oil: As a humectant, it draws in moisture from the air, so it's highly effective for extremely dry skin/hair. It's anti-microbial and anti-fungal properties help combat two of the main causes of hair loss. 

Camellia Seed Oil: Natural antioxidant, helps balance moisture in skin, improves circulation, helps maintain a healthy pH, blocks harmful UV rays, promotes hair growth, conditions scalp, helps restore brittle hair, soothes eczema, psoriasis, and other skin irritations.

Waxes

Beeswax: Softens, nourishes, conditions, and helps lock in moisture. Contains vitamin A, which is essential for human cell development. It is also antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and is an antioxidant. Beeswax improves skin's elasticity, as well as overall radiance. Contrary to what some believe, beeswax is non comedogenic--It does not clog pores.

Essential Oils 

Lemongrass: Anti-fungal, antibacterial, antimicrobial, soothes muscle aches, helps eliminate fungus (i.e. athlete's foot), helps balance oily skin, adds luster to hair. *May irritate skin.*

Geranium: Balances skin, helps relieve eczema, dermatitis, uplifting, astringent, antibacterial, antimicrobial, promotes cell health, encourages regeneration of new cells. *Avoid while pregnant.*

Ginger: Improves circulation, stimulant, antibacterial, antiseptic, antioxidant, astringent * May irritate skin.*

Black Pepper: Stimulant, improves circulation, antioxidant, antibacterial *Avoid while pregnant.* 

Rosemary: Rejuvenates and nourishes scalp, improves circulation, combats dandruff, antibacterial, antioxidant, balances oily scalp, astringent, slows premature graying and hair loss

Lavender: Antiseptic, improves circulation, anti-inflammatory, soothes skin ailments such as psoriasis and eczema, balances oily skin, helps eliminate stretch marks, anti-bacterial

Sage: Anti-inflammatory, stimulant, antiseptic, *Avoid during pregnancy*
