Restoring Rituals

Athlete's Foot: Athlete's foot (tinea pedis) is a communicable disease caused by parasitic fungi in the genus Trichophyton. Always keep feet and between the toes dry, as the parasites thrive in moisture. Refrain from sharing foot wear and wear shower shoes at the pool, public showers, and locker rooms. Be sure to wash your hands after touching your feet, as it is very easy to spread.

To restore your soles:

Soak the affected area in raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar for 20-30 minutes twice a day in a foot basin. Rinse throughly, pat dry and spread a thin layer of Kuponya Restoring Hair & Skin Balm on the affected area. Repeat daily as needed. Disinfect the foot basin after each use. **If the condition is aggressive/persistent after ten days, discontinue ritual and consult a physician.**

"Summerize" Your Back & Shoulders

Everyone desires to have smooth and creamy back and shoulders to show off during the summer! Although, the sooner the better, anytime is the perfect time to begin prepping your skin for the summer season.

To polish your skin:

Lather up a wash cloth or 100% boar bristle back brush using peppermint or lavender castile soap (Dr. Bronner's Magic Soap is my favorite brand). Sprinkle a little baking soda on the wash cloth/back brush and gently exfoliate your back, shoulders, and decolletage in a circular motion for approximately 60 seconds. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Massage a thin layer of Kuponya Restoring Hair & Body Balm into the skin. Twice p/week will suffice. **Baking soda may be irritating to the skin. If so, discontinue ritual.**

Brighten Your Armpits

Over time, some of us may begin to experience discoloration due to hyperpigmentation underneath our arms. This can be a result of constant shaving, waxing, genetics, etc. There is something you can do to brighten the area.

To brighten the area:

Before bedtime, gently cleanse underneath your arms with a mild cleanser. Take a lemon wedge and massage it in a circular motion underneath your arm while simultaneously squeezing the lemon. Repeat on the other side. Allow the lemon juice to sit for about 5-10 minutes (depending on your sensitivity). Rinse thoroughly, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of Kuponya Restoring Hair & Body Balm to the area. Repeat ritual 2-3 times per week until desired results have been achieved. Be sure to monitor your sensitivity to the lemon juice, so that you may increase or decrease processing time.

This same ritual may be applied to knees and elbows.

**Results will vary according to the individual.**
